Cinco de Mayo

[From Wikipedia: More popular in the United States than in Mexico,[3] Cinco de Mayo has become associated with the celebration of Mexican-American culture.[4][5][6] Celebrations began in Columbia, California, where they have been observed annually since 1862.[7] The day gained nationwide popularity beyond those of Mexican-American heritage in the 1980s due to advertising campaigns by beer, wine, and tequila companies; today, Cinco de Mayo generates beer sales on par with the Super Bowl. In other words it’s a phony holiday, just an excuse to get drunk. That is NOT the case with the exploding Judases, however. Here’s a taste of a genuine Mexican holiday as celebrated in Sand Miguel de Allende. SB SM]

  2. We were driving through Lewiston Maine last Thursday about to turn into the “Chick-a-Dee” Family Restaurant when a car recklessly zoomed by us and I reflexively exclaimed,” Jesus!”
The car cut in front of us and the license plate was – wait for it…”Jesus”
Cosmic coincidence, divine driving or just plain stupidity?

  3. That’s a keeper. U put together some great clips of such a fun day!
    Thanks Stephen!
