April Fool

[Occasionally, I think it’s important to humanize myself (not easy for a gorilla!) by making a fool of myself. And what more appropriate day to do it than on this day of fools. Vermont is digging out from a spring snow, while I am South of the Border whining about pollen from the magnificent, blossoming Jacaranda tree. This will knock be back a notch or two. SB SM]

English majors around the planet are sometimes required to memorize the first eighteen lines of Geoffrey Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales. Little did I think that over 50 years later I would still be reciting them.
