Best music visualization

There have been many many attempts to visualize music over the centuries, but the animations of music done by Stephen Malinowski are the ones that sing to me. Despite the name of Music Animation Machine, this is not AI. This is obsessive craftsmanship of the highest order. As a sample start with this piece of music, the original 1924 recording of George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. — Kevin Kelly in Recomendo

  1. Amazing. The linear horizontal movement with notes colorfully leaping up and down is a musical staff on steroids.

My Dad was a professional piano player when he was young (played with a lot of the big bands) and somewhere in my archives I have a 78 of him playing this piece with the New York Philharmonic.

    Thanks for making my morning!”
