Happy Labor Day

[Labor Day is a mixed bag, a double-edged sword, and every other cliche you can think of. It’s still summer … but not for long, and it’s going to be a long time until you are back here again. The garden is pumping out produce, but it’s really the last gasp. For many years we celebrated, or crucified ourselves, but running a daunting 8 mile road race, the rehydrating ourselves with draft beer. It felt rewarding and helped us over the threshold that comes with the end of an era. I hope Silverbacks from coast to coast will find an enjoyable way to spend the holiday.
