Stick Season may be the hit, but Mud Season Romance was the original ode to Vermont’s most fickle season.
[It’s a ritual that you, as Silverback and Silverbelles, Silverbabes, Silverbucks, and Silverpups, up with which you must put. This trio consists of Stephen Morris (approximately age 42), Jacob Morris (age 11), and Patrick Morris (age 8) performing “Mud Season Romance.” This would have been circa 1990 in the dawn of the videocam era. This song is my philosophical touchstone in life. Still is. BTW, Jake is now 48 and a CFP (Certified Financial Planner) and Patrick is 44 and a VP at Disney. I am 78 and a proud Silverback. (PS–The actual song starts at the 1:45 mark, but I left the preamble in as a reminder of how we all went a little cuckoo when the home video camera was first introduced. SB SM]
