[We’ve featured the Real Stormin’ Norman Zamcheck on these pages before, but the man just keeps churning out new music. Here’s what he has to say about this one. SB SM]

“Just completed an album after about a year’s work with Mat Kastner and gifted upright bassist cello ace, Andrew Livingston. Below is a video of the title song, Bride of Science. I have written hundreds or songs, and Mat has played on most of them and worked on some of albums I released over the past 10 years. Important to note that this happy collaboration going back to our encounter at Mat’s room in Saybrook (my residential college at Yale) in 1968, I think. We went down south 1970 with a scruffy rock band called “Milkweed,” One of our claims to fame is that we were the only New Haven band that dared to play on the green during the May Day protest supporting Bobby Seale and the Black Panthers. We were reviewed in Rolling Stone described us as “possibly the worst music ever played before a large crowd.” Years later, in our group Stormin’ Norman & Suzy, we got rave reviews both from Rolling Stone and The New York Times!
I have had a schizophrenic life with “Bride,” here I go again, blabbing about ancient history. Shut-up Norm!! It’s all there in the songs.” –Norm Zamcheck

about
In the OLD DAYS we had a gorgeous painted album cover, a wheel of gleaming black vinyl. – And now, just a few squiggles of computer code. But this represents a year of work and rehearsal and listening and recording … and LOTS of jamming. Norm’s been cranking out these funny songs forever. This time his piano is plunked down inside a string band.
