Sugarin’ at the Wright Farm

Glimmer Day has come and gone. The days are getting longer. Lots of winter still to go, but time to check out the equipment.

Rick and Bev Wright, and now their son Andrew, run the picturesque farm at the end of Gilead Brook Road in central Vermont. The family farm is very much an endangered species, but it seems to be alive and well here in this magical kingdom.

Every year when the winter runs short, the sun lasts a little bit longer, the snow begins to melt, and the sap begins to flow. It’s the stuff of legends and inspiration.
