Are They Silverback-Worthy?

[When you are of my vintage you start seeing your peers and comrades falling by the wayside. Sometimes they are ousted in a pitched battle with a challenging, young Silverbuck, but most of us just gracefully step aside and leave the heavy lifting to others while we sit quietly on the fringes, eating bananas and dispensing wisdom. Whenever a fellow Silverback passes, however, we pay appropriate tribute as we wish them well in their ascent to the Great Celestial Jungle

I gave pause when Ozzy Osbourne and Hulk Hogan passed away recently. I was never a big fan of Black Sabbath or Wrestlemania, so I wasn’t fully knowledgeable about their work, and there was the added fact of the Hulkster’s well-known support of Donald Trump. Was I letting politics get in the way of the laws of The Jungle? This journal has always tried to steer clear of politics and pornography. It seems like Hogan was on the wrong side of both issues.

Music critic Rick Beato convinced me of Ozzy’s value as a musical influence, so it’s thumbs up for Ozzy. Welcome to The Jungle. Hulk … you deserve Silverback status for your contributions in the ring, but you work in the other arenas keeps you out of The Jungle.
