Scrambled Best of the ‘Gest

Best of the ‘Gest

Last spring Silverbacks spent an entire week learning from various experts the perfect way to make scrambled eggs. Why couldn’t they agree?

This technique for scrambling eggs is supposedly popular with street vendors in Korea. Very cool.

My father, the “Indian Brown” scrambled egg guy, would not approve of Gordon Ramsey’s approach.

Ina Gartner, The Barefoot Contessa, shows her approach to scrambled eggs. Really? Does anyone out there in The Jungle find this appealing or innovative? She adds Half & Half and two tablespoons of truffle butter to whole eggs, then takes a tiny bite of a corner of toast and pronounces them “perfect?” Why not just mainline lard? Ughhhh.

Our scrambled egg journey will end tomorrow.

Tomorrow we will conclude our grand tour of the egg that is scrambled.

  1. Fascinating post and videos. Coincidentally, I’m reading during our Blizzard while eating scrambled tofu, which is a tasty, healthy alternative to cholesterol-heavy eggs.
