The girl can dance! This video, made while Alexandria Ocasion-Cortez, was in college, surfaced as attempt to discredit the young woman from the Bronx running for a Congressional seat. Didn’t work, however, and helped make this lady an instant celebrity. Having fun should be a negative?
Whatever you think of her politics (and as Silverbacks, we keep our political views to ourselves), she brings a much-needed whiff of vitality to the calcified collective meeting beneath the Capitol dome.
Keep in mind that Alexandria is just across the Potomac from DC. (I’ll be damned if I know what this means, but it sounds profound.)
